girlwiththepawprinttattoo’s challenge

This response is in place of something (coming sooon) that’s a touch different for me, then again I’ve always said I’m err theme less? 🙂

Thank you to girlwiththepawprinttattoo for her nomination, I’d love to reply to her challenge 🙂 I’m afraid though I don’t strictly play by the Award rules on WordPress, however I DO love answering the questions also reading those of everyone else involved. Just call me awkward lol but as with megisacat’s Challenge, the lady’s questions made great ideas to write about from a fun personal perspective.

First here are Becky’s five questions to be followed by the girlwiththepawprinttatto’s five, I had fun answering and again :/ apologies for not playing strictly by the rules………….. but I doubt anyone really minds?

When did something start out badly for you but in the end, it was great? Starting my Toolmaking apprenticeship at the age of sixteen. Looking back I think working for a living was a shock to the system in so many respects, new people, new surroundings alien after school, hours set in stone, being disciplined by men who would NOT accept slackness or bad behaviour! However over time I learned to love the job and cherish the skills that were being taught not forgetting I was being paid a wage. Looking back I was lucky, not every boy had the opportunity to be chosen to learn a Trade that will hopefully keep me employed for life, some boys would have wanted this opportunity so badly but missed out and I should always remember that. We all should. :/

What movie can you watch over and over without ever getting tired of? ‘All The President’s Men’, yes the movie is a few years old but will always be a fascinating story. It follows the Watergate break-in and subsequent scandal HOWEVER the message is as relevant to today’s dirty Politics as it was in the 70s, whether that be D. Trump in the Whitehouse or Number 10 in the UK. Watch the movie and you’ll realise nothing’s changed plus All The President’s is a fabulously paced whodunit………. won Oscars and everything!

What “old person” things do you do? Omg I think I fit into the bracket of being old, but hey in for a penny in for a pound, I’ll call into my local Supermarket around 6.50pm and why? Because they reduce all the food that’s on it’s final ‘sell by day’ before closing at 7pm. I know frigging sad or what!!

If someone narrated your life, who would you want to be the narrator? I had lol difficulty with this question, Richard Burton because as with his opening narration to the film Zulu, Burton could make anyone’s life sound exciting enough to take notice of.

What artist or band do you always recommend when someone asks for a music recommendation? The honest answer is my recommendation would change almost every day, depending on my mood or what’s been playing on my mp3 player my answer could be any number of bands? Sorry!

Leopard-97

girlwiththepawprinttatto’s questions ( :/ ? Well you never know it could be a leopard pawprint?)

What actor/actress would you want to play you in a film about your life? Tom Hanks, only because the characters he plays in movies are always likeable amusing heroic individuals who everyone loves, plus he marries Meg Ryan omg lucky guy!!!

You have just woken up from being cryogenically frozen. What is your first question? I fear my answer won’t be everyone’s idea worthy of an Award question, but yet again girlwiththepawprinttatto’s question really had me thinking. I suffer from epilepsy, see I told you it wouldn’t be a barrel of laughs, and I’m pretty convinced I actually know the answer to this question for real. The start of a seizure I liken to an electric shock, a physical mental jolt that blocks out thoughts of everyone and everything around me. Then the following three seconds are feelings of dread clarity and an understanding of what is to happen next, three minutes of unconsciousness! However (and here’s her answer) when I awake there are ALWAYS, without fail several concerned human faces looking down at me the worried faces of Good Samaritans! People who cared enough to stop and help their fellow human being, empaths have you will, lovely people who were the ones out of all the others walking past who took time out of their day to help me OR use their mobile to call an ambulance. 🙂 This shows to me there is goodness in the World and my first question is “where am I?” These lovely people have also reminded me that I to should stop and help a person in need and I have done. Lol sorry if I’ve rather depressed you but not everyone stops!

What type of movie would your life be? Romance? Drama? Comedy? Horror? Drama I guess for the above reason.

What TV channel doesn’t exist but really should? I think my TV Station exists! Topless women laying on a bed shaking a phone in one hand, mouthing “call me” at the screen ❤ ……… I’m joking I’d never ever lol phone I’m tooo tight with money! A great Channel I’d love to exist is one that’s dedicated to Space Exploration, Moon landing footage…… I know really boring haha.

If you were famous, what would you want to be famous for? Answering this question is actually more difficult than I first imagined because unlike children of today I don’t want to be famous. Watching ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ (I do) and the thousands of kids who want to be famous, it seems sad they don’t appear to want anything else other than famous? They should listen to Francis Rossi from Status Quo when he said, “you just don’t wanna know what’s behind the Show Business façade, it ain’t pretty”. Lol rather err depressing but children want fame so desperately that they’ll not think about the insecurities performer’s suffer from. But if I were famous I guess I could say a Motor Racing driver because of the money thrills and pretty ladies (least I’m honest!) that come as the trappings, but honestly I’d like to be famous for inventing something that help’s my fellow man, a drug that cures a disease?

Fun questions and apologies for not playing by Award rules, but not to worry. 🙂

megisacat’s challenge

I’m not an Award tag type of Blogger but I like reading any sort of list/questions post that catches my eye, megisacat’s Challenge passed a fun hour and here’s my response to her questions.

I’ve a trivia fact for you, did you know lists (could be of anything) are perhaps unsurprisingly the most popular blogs on WordPress? I read it somewhere, I think? I say unsurprisingly because human beings love lists don’t we, whether the shopping list of foods we either essentially need or fancy eating, or perhaps those bucket lists of things to try before we get tooo old to do, I haven’t officially been tagged this evening (later on) but megisacat’s questions captured my imagination and looked rather fun, one in particular would be nice to answer, I miss our family’s Border Collies SO much which is a good excuse for posting 2 photos on my WordPress..

What is your favourite drink? A good old pint of English Bitter, a rather boring answer I know but I adore the taste of fermented hops on my tongue and I’d have to drink quite a few before getting drunk, I also love Southern Comfort and lemonade trouble is I’ve lost whole parts of my life drinking tooo many S. Comforts! Like ONE HOUR several Christmases ago, I started the evening in one Department, regained consciousness in a totally separate Building and different Party? (Having thrown up in the toilets and a colleague using fingers to help the ‘stuff’ go down the sink!!)

What advice would your future self give your current self that you are unlikely to follow but you know it’s good advice? Go chat with any woman who catches your eye, you never know where it’ll end up!

What would you change about the world? Easy question, yet rather depressing to both write about and no doubt read. The simple straightforward answer is I’d ban Religion and I’m convinced the world would be a happier peaceful and more tolerant place. Only the other day a guy at work refused to shake a female Secretary’s hand, he said,

“I’m Muslim and don’t shake women’s hands”………………… WTF??? Something to do with avoiding temptation, whatever, it’s just ##king rude, she was upset and offended and now everyone’s angry! Lol enough Politics and Religion.

Favourite Song? (post a link/embed a video if you’d like)

Abba’s ‘Thank you for the music is a favourite song, Benny and Bjorn are quite rightly now considered genius composers, and those teenage dreams I had with blonde Agnetha are unprintable!

Favourite animal and why? Easy question and a little (very) sad to answer but here goes. Ever since my sibling and I were young children our family has owned Border Collies, well there’s 2 in particular I think about most days you know a memory prompted from happy times with Belle and Lucy for those were their names. Border Collies are most definitely the MOST intelligent breed of dog, without question, and our two would watch mum dad me and my sibling go about our day with such concentration that I sensed they understood what we were going to do next without us knowing. Lucy would sit by her lead dependant on what shoes I was putting on, if my mother got a tub of cream from the fridge we’d time how long until Belle was by the kitchen without calling, waiting for the empty carton and the list goes on. They were super obedient, fetch a ball all day long, affectionate, loyal, fun, friends and I’d better stop lol before I start crying!!!! 😀 Lucy (left) was the puppy from hell but grew into the perfect companion.

What is your Favourite memory? Without question time spent with my two Grandfathers, throughout my childhood and when a teenager I enjoyed their companionship and the values they taught me. I learnt the game of cricket from my mum’s father, and some of the happiest days of my life were just the two of us going to watch Yorkshire play at Scarborough Festivals then later in his life when age 85, our roles were reversed and I was the one to look after him all day and bring him home safe, funny how that happens in life :/ ……………. I know he really enjoyed those times and jeeze I’d better stop before I start lol getting all tearful!!

If you had a day off like Ferris Bueller (a day without consequences) what would you do? I’m afraid I have absolutely no idea who Ferris Bueller is? (Untrue I have an inkling but can’t be assed to Google!) but this is an easy question. Hmm a day without consequences? There’s a thought! Well ALL I’m going to give away is making love to a certain beautiful mature lady I know, married hence the consequences enough said! She’s intelligent amusing, prim and proper and drop dead sexy from her chestnut brown ‘bottled’ hair colour, to having the figure of a twentysomething, a classy slim woman with absolutely massive boobs, her summer print dresses with plunging necklines almost make me pass out!! ……………….. Just imagine if she read this WordPress now there’s a thought. :/

What is your favourite quality about yourself? Jeeze this IS a difficult question, I’ve thought about this for quite a while and I would say I have a great capacity for empathy, I feel other people’s pain to the point where it really isn’t emotionally good for me, however empathising with other’s problems isn’t for show, no it’s very genuine and heartfelt.

What is your dream job? Again I’ve given this one a lot of thought, I’ve noticed that as I get older that dream job doesn’t seem to exist to the same degree as it did when I was age 18. Nah scrub that lol, a dream job for me would be working in a Nature Reserve as a Park Warden…………… yes truly a privileged dream job, just imagine out in the countryside all day looking after wildlife!

Like I said fun questions!

Congratulations Will and Kate :)

AAweZNcThe beauty of having your own WordPress 😛 is that you can Post whatever you wish and I for one would like to congratulate Will and Kate on the birth of their third child, and what with Harry and Meghan’s wedding this coming month of May the Royal family Windsor is on a roll and I for one am very pleased, and I must admit on happy days like these I reflect on whether I’d like to have had children of my own? :/ Hmm there’s maybe a post there!

A decade ago Republicanism was on the march in the United Kingdom, our Royal family came close to be toppled at the news of the death of Lady Diana, but ‘The Firm’ as the Queen affectionately calls the House of Windsor has never known such high approval rating with the public, and perhaps people from overseas aren’t fully aware, or lol don’t really care, how popular Meghan is with the British public.

Over here Meghan is quite a superstar, crowds flock to every event she attends, she’ll wear a frock you can buy in the shops, and it’ll have sold out nationwide an hour later and when she’s standing beside Harry don’t you think they make a lovely couple?

I’m a proud loyalist at heart, I have no time for Republicans or any type of bitter hater for that matter, and am really looking forward to the Royal Wedding, jeeze we all need cheering up having to live through the hell that is frigging Brexit (don’t go there!)……….. Anyways enough of classy Meghan I’ve a post planned just for her.

Returning to Will and Kate, hearing the news of an immanent birth at work today, cheered us all up!

Reflecting on the previous Post

Quickly written, off the cuff, early evening thoughts.

blue-ocean-water-reflecting-the-gilded-sunset-53550-1920x1200.jpg
Google image rather aptly Titled ‘Reflection’

Well where do I begin? Earlier today I published a Post called Have I ever touched a woman inappropriately and I fear I’ve really misjudged both tastefulness and appropriateness of my views, and I have a feeling I’ve been far tooo honest sharing my thoughts and opinions, the post hasn’t been well received, or I’m just tired after a long day at work?

I finished writing said post late last evening, after the bare bones had been written to Draft early Sunday whilst watching all those awesome people run their Marathon. I had assumed my honesty would be acceptable if the content was a little distasteful, maybe uncomfortable, or perhaps my writing is more hope than skill luck than judgement, and being honest I find the lack of feedback to my clunky musings frustrating.

Yesterday evening I was very honest (as I always am) in retelling a 100% true anecdote, I stand by every word I’ve written good or bad, perhaps I devalued the #MeToo message, maybe yes I trivialised the tone, forgetting how important #MeToo is to women although I did say all men have to examine the ways in which they interact with women.

I’ve just this minute reread said post and unless I’ve mentally lost the plot, I’m sure I wrote a balanced argument but yes in the cold light of reading the next day I admit my light hearted conversational style and turn of phrase misjudged the awful gravity a woman being sexually abused, in the work place or wherever, and for that I am sorry if that’s the way my personal views have been taken.

But having said all that, as always when writing a thoughtful post I jotted down my overblown self opinionated ideas before starting with one aim only, to come across as entertaining, jeeze we’re all busy people, we have an obligation to try our utmost to entertain, respect the reader, not waste 5 minutes of their life they’ll never get back, I tried my best and yes stand by every single word I’ve written for this and my previous 2 WordPresses!

Perhaps the real issue, and I DO understand I fail in one respect in my personal life, I meet with women for casual consensual sex, no commitment to myself or the lady, we email and text regularly, and the excitement comes when choosing Hotels, the thrill and joy is meeting and being intimate with a lady I don’t know from Eve. However when our time is over I walk away feeling soulless and depressed, having friends with benefits is fun and thrilling but ultimately quite shallow and emotionally unfulfilling, fwb is the dictionary definition of the deadly sin of Lust my worst personal failing!

But as been pointed out, ‘we do nothing wrong it’s only sex!’

Hopefully my tales make fun reading, no let me rephrase that, I hope my clunky style of writing and silly stories are entertaining. So perhaps the real issue, is I’m not the nice guy I’ve always assumed I am and I’ve been giving this a great deal of thought recently. I don’t mean because of this one post, no I’m going to stand up for myself and say yes I possess character flaws and moral failings but I treat human beings as I would like to be treated myself, I have a good heart, am honest and have a great capacity for empathy with other’s problems, I only wish I wasn’t single and perhaps there lies the root of all my life’s problems, then again Laura at ‘Skinny and Single’ commented to me ‘Be careful what you wish for lolol.’

Hmm writing this has been mildly cathartic………… don’t you agree inflicting depression and anxiety on all men and women, must have been God’s sick joke or is there a hidden reason for wreaking suffering on human kind we’re incapable of fathoming?

The older I get the less I understand life, all very melodramatic I know and I try so very hard to avoid drama here………………lol………….. I’ve some Posts in Draft……………. I shouldn’t really write when I’m tired! (Photos from around Oxford follows next 🙂 )

Have I ever touched a woman inappropriately? (Re. #MeToo)

(#MeToo themes, consequently age appropriate BUT my WordPress ISN’T an adult blog)

:/ So have I? In my long years stalking (no walking) this planet, have I ever touched a woman inappropriately (sexually) to the point she’s had to say “No”?

And the answer is yes once.

But it’s never ever happened before or since, end of!

……………………..oh you mean you’d like to hear more? All the seedy details? Was I reported to the Police? Was I charged with sexual assault? Did she add my name to the #MeToo Twitter feed?

SO MANY QUESTIONS!

Ok before you or WordPress get their frigging knickers in a twist over my very frank and honest admission, the answer is I’ve never broken the law in my life hence I’ve never been arrested by the Police. Further, no one has ever reported me to the Police and my name isn’t linked to #MeToo, so the answer is a BIG NO to every question that’s hopefully surging your brain’s electrical circuitry right now.

Ok are we quite clear, and please don’t think I’m belittling #MeToo, as no guy ever should.

Having said all of that……..

jjjjjjjjj

December last year I was chastised for touching a woman’s V, but in my defence she was naked riding me reverse cowgirl at the time, consensually! However I’m fully aware a guy cannot assume he can do whatever he wishes to a woman’s body even though she’d previously agreed to have sex with him.

06Similar to the majority of men across the globe I’ve followed the #MeToo debate with varying degrees of interest, not religiously but a newspaper article here, a TV news story there, HOWEVER my ears will always prick up when I hear a guy moan he no longer understands what the dating rules are anymore?

Are you aware last month Amazon announced, ’employees are allowed to ask a colleague for a date one time only’, which seems harsh when my Grandma said my Grandpa never stopped asking her out, she answered yes just to keep him quiet!

The rest is history, they reached their golden wedding together, had 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren so draw your own conclusions as to the new corporate dating policies!

Incidentally Amazon don’t care either way lol, they’re legally covering themselves and :/ more businesses will follow.

As for guys no longer understanding dating rules, each time I hear this nonsensical argument, I shake my head because asking if #MeToo is being fair to men is a total no brainer. It’s not right to touch a woman inappropriately in 2018, as guys are fully aware, it wasn’t right to touch a woman’s body 30 years ago before asking, because well you just don’t!

It’s a no brainer argument, so why the confusion, I keep reading and hearing a small minority of men are confused? I guess the only confusion could be if a married man was wrongly accused, but that’s a whole other issue.

A woman I dated on several occasions, we didn’t have sx we were just good friends. well somehow our conversation stumbled onto tales of sx as you do, all very amusing until she said her first time wasn’t a happy experience, afterwards actually saying to herself,

“Well is that it? Is that what all the fuss was about?” in other words a considered anti-climax.

Hmm as often happens with a post I’ve gotten side tracked haven’t I, :/ the perils of writing as you think. I began by saying I have been guilty of touching a woman inappropriately, Sarah was her name (not really), I made the mistake of touching her V without asking whilst she rode me reverse cowgirl. I touched her intimacy, she stopped bouncing up and down on my waist taking my long hardness deep inside her and having paused Sarah turned her head saying rather curtly,

“Don’t touch my foo (insert my name)”

I apologised and yes even though sex was consensual I SHOULD have asked shouldn’t I, Sarah helped me to climax and if you’re interested all was fine afterwards. We chatted laughed, drank alcohol and the incident was never spoken of again, perhaps for literary effect I’ve overplayed the episode but she chastised me with “don’t” and yes I should have asked first.

Sarah and I were cool afterward, I’d better make that very clear! And I have no idea why she didn’t wish me to touch her V? I’ve no problem with Sarah, she had the right to say no as all women do, a woman has the human right to say “STOP” at any time as do I!

Similar to most of us I’ve read true tales of sexual abuse in magazines and on the internet and I’ve even read that it’s not uncommon for a woman to say she’s been raped by her husband. The name of a specific article avoids me but I remember it took me a few seconds to process, hold on now? They are married couple ‘man and wife’, doesn’t the husband have conjugal rights? They’ve signed a betroth ‘in the eyes of God to be faithful to one another, he has the legal right to ##ck her doesn’t he?

But of course when I reflected on these marital bedroom arguments it’s absolutely clear rape can and does exist within a marriage, heavens above husbands do not have any Rights over their wives bodies. I would never assume I had a legal right to sexual intercourse, but I think if the guy’s been denied then the marriage had already passed the point of NO return.

Yes?

I began this post discussing pointing out my puzzlement at a minority of men NOT understanding ‘these new dating rules of engagement’, I’ve heard them said on the TV, which leads me in very seamlessly to my own rules of dating engagement……. you get the idea.

I’m not a very tactile touchy feely sort of person, so perhaps I’m different from most men? Stretching a hand out to pat a woman’s butt cheek wouldn’t cross my mind, jeeze I’d never slap her ass and I would never place an affectionate arm round a female’s shoulder or lean in a little to close to her face, but some men still do.

I would never place my hand on her thigh, put my arm round her waist and certainly never ever grope a breast. I’d never try to steal a kiss from a lady, stroke her hair but I guess the consequences of mixed messages could perhaps come into play, you know, a date has gone particularly well so a guy might grope because he assumed sex was on the menu, but this would be a MINORITY of men.. Hmm perhaps I’m different to some men? I’d day dream of touching her breasts and pussy but I wouldn’t until :/ asked to!!!!

However I’m most definitely far from being an angel, I’ll be the first to admit to admiring a fine looking woman from afar, appreciate her lovely hair, furtively gaze at her pert round bottom (I do this a lot :/ ), my eyes drawn to a gorgeous pair of breasts, treasure her child bearing hips, appraise her ‘pins’ AND glance down her cleavage if the opportunity arises……….. which I most definitely do when she’s not watching! (Lol they know though 😀 )

But surely that’s ok isn’t it? Yes?

I mean as long as one doesn’t leer, side glancing at an open blouse is ok, enjoying a females sexuality solely by eyesight remains ok in 2018 doesn’t it? Like I said I’ll mull over the so called new rules and my responsibilities as regards #MeToo fallout, quite often actually, but I really am unsure if looking and appreciating beauty in a woman, is no longer socially acceptable?

Perhaps ladies HATE men looking at their bodies?

So ladies lol answer me, if you’re aware (feminine intuition and all that jazz) a guy is looking at you, enjoying your sensuality no sexuality, is that ok?

So what final conclusion could I share with you before wrapping up this post.

I would say, human male consciousness and #MeToo arguments are inextricably entwined, if any guy including myself doesn’t reflect on this statement from time to time then perhaps I and he should! However my mother brought me up to be a good boy, treat people how you wish to be treated, taught me by example how to care and empathise with my fellow man, I’m not perfect but I understand right from wrong. So Sarah I apologise (we kissed and made up), thank you for the lovely afternoon and banging alcohol induced overhang the following morning!

(And if you to are at all curious why reporter Ben Brown was groping a woman’s boob live on BBC News? Neither am I? And it’s late and I cannot be frigging bothered to Google!)

Deleting his Facebook

Thoughts and opinions are all my own, and if you disagree with me then that’s absolutely fabulous ❤

comics-JaGo-photo-hipster-5

‘I’m not on Facebook!’ I fear I’m in a minority here with that statement because lol I’ve haven’t heard of anyone who isn’t on FB?

A brief tale for you and I’ll keep this short because I do get side tracked! Last Wednesday whilst chatting to a 21year old colleague at work (btw NO one is aware I have a WordPress….not that I know of!) This pleasant young guy and myself somehow got on to the subject of Facebook, probably Mark Zuckerberg sharing our personal data with every corporation and business under the sun started the conversation, well without prompting by myself Alex said something that quite made him chuckle, 😀

“Last night I deleted my Facebook and NO ONE noticed!” I should say at this juncture he’s NOT by nature an attention seeker? No Alex is the most laid back chilled person you could ever hope to meet, you only need to know quitting wasn’t a spur of the moment rash decision, no he’d given closing his FB a great deal of thought.

Baring in mind social media is valued by the young perhaps more than older generations appreciate, ‘Alex’ didn’t appear worried regretful or deflated by his considered decision, I sensed he was quite relieved after having planned his social Platform exit, and he was rather pleased none of his friends noticed he’d disappeared because that proved lol no one actually cared! On the other hand if for example 100 of his FB buddies had ‘WhatsApp’ messaged him saying,

OMFG (or similar excitable acronym) u jus quit FB, why???????? 😮 😮 😮 !!!!!!!!!!!!!’ 😮

Or if his many friends, for Alex is a popular guy, had called his mobile number worriedly enquiring,

“OMG Alex babe what’s happened? Why have you deleted your Facebook? Are you ok?”

He’d have been gutted, but no not a single person noticed………….. which made him chuckle. 😀

Well as we chatted together that early weekday morning, before getting down to the work we were supposed to be doing, Alex went on to briefly explain the reasons why he’d finished with FB. I’ll refrain from quoting extracts from our private conversation, but interestingly quitting was unconnected to Zuckerberg’s evasive answers to American Politicians in Congress………. as with all youngster’s data sharing didn’t worry him.

Frigging worries me!

Turns out my colleague’s sole reason for quitting is as simple as time management, he’d kept a daily log of the hours spent on FB that week, you know keeping up with the many fabulous and interesting things his friends had gotten up to and even more worryingly the time he spent ‘pimpng’ up his own Profile’ (his words not mine) and as you may have guessed, Alex did the Math and the final total quite shocked him.

A lot of hours!!!

So my work colleague, after a lot of careful consideration and he didn’t take the decision lightly, Alex bit the ‘proverbial’ bullet and quit. Whether he regrets this over the weeks to come and succumbs to opening a new Account? Only time will tell but that’s missing the point.

And my point is? I think FB is fabulous and a great way of connecting with people also keeping up with what friends are doing in their lives, and I’m in NO way criticising Facebook or social media in general. My take on his momentous decision  is I guess there comes a time in any young adult’s life, perhaps beginning work, cooking for oneself, when they realise social media has taken over their lives, consuming precious time that should be used dating real human beings or just enjoying the fruits and benefits of one’s newly paid labour……………. and lol that dreaded chain around every adult’s neck called responsibilities!

And if you are at all curious I’m neither on FB or ever intend to be, note I have nothing against this social Platform and make no judgement on the people who do use it because I know I am in a minority. But FB isn’t for me I’ll go further by saying I’m not entirely convinced any middle aged guy should own a Facebook, it just doesn’t sit right with me, my opinion is social media platforms should be the preserve of teenagers also lonely disconnected mums/moms who’s sole wish is to keep in touch with their friends………………I have female relatives who are on Facebook!

(My lol jumped up opinions only, feel free to disagree with these early evening thoughts and musings 🙂 )

Having said all that Facebook is the effective way to share WordPress posts, it makes sense to share your thoughts with circles of close friends on Twitter etc because blogging can be a lonely place, I understand this but I write because it’s good for my mental health, and no I’m afraid I won’t be appearing on a Facebook near you anytime sooon. 🙂

Kissing girls

Original & © A. Shepherdson. (#humour 🙂 )

(A free shout out to ‘Taylors of Oxford’ Deli!)

First off let me say I’m NOT homophobic, far from it, I’m a ‘live and let live’ kind of guy (as Long as no one gets hurt 🙂 ) whatever makes you happy in life then that’s fine by me. I’ll go further and say a person’s colour or sexuality has NO bearing on me, I take people as I find them so yes ‘live and let live’ ❤ .

Having said that some readers may find my tale err slightly unnerving?
Let me begin. This evening I have a light hearted lesbian story for you, this truly happened oh and just quickly, bare in mind my WordPress is whatever captures my imagination at the time.

I’m fine with lesbians they even feature in a bedtime fantasy of mine, I’ll take a second glance at two women kissing in public, lick my lips ever so slightly only because they don’t bother me, I guess that’s because I’m a heterosexual guy. Then again perhaps the spectacle of two girls kissing in public makes straight women feel icky? Or perhaps social niceties mean we’re of the opinion there’s a time and a place………………. called the bedroom!

I’ll go further and say the sight of two guys openly kissing in public makes me feel slightly uncomfortable, now HOLDON lol before judging me! (He say’s 😉 with tongue firmly in cheek!) I should qualify that statement with I’m not tooo keen on heterosexual couples kissing in public either, making out in full view ‘smacks’ of ‘look at us we’re SO happy’ and I have a feeling the kissing show is intended to make people jealous………. to be honest I’m as jealous as hell.

(Btw did you know threesomes, a guy in bed with two naked lesbians, is a well known male fantasy?)

Course you did!

Am I of the opinion a homosexual couple kissing, for example at a Supermarket Deli counter, will corrupt young minds? No of course not, quite the opposite toddlers would gaze amused bemused and transfixed, and you never know unconcealed same sex affection could possibly make children more accepting? Ask their mum’s tricky questions about homosexuality?

Perhaps there lies the problem.

Now to my true tale, writing passes the evening!

Several years ago a work colleague and myself were standing in a rather long queue of customers waiting to be served at a Shop Deli counter, buying freshly made (and expensive) sandwiches. Well to cut a short story even shorter, directly in front of my friend stood two young women who I’d guess were Uni students. Lovely young women they were, one girl had an arm resting on her friends shoulder in such an affectionate way that it was quite obvious they were in love, gazing longingly into each other’s eyes and YES every so often kissing passionately on the lips! (Almost tongues inside!!)

So they were shamelessly in love, fabulous, and I’d guess everyone in the Deli was well aware of our young couple’s passion for each other.

Then to my utter astonishment! My friend rather loudly says to the two girls,

“That’s disgusting, do you have to do that?”

Well as you’d imagine for a second or two everyone in the shop stopped talking, a hush descended on the Deli with everyone turning and looking, only for a few seconds mind. What happened next was all very civilised, with a complete lack of drama, the girls gave my friend an annoyed stare, stopped petting and all shop life returned to normal as if the brief confrontational interlude had never ever happened.

A very typical reserved English reaction, no drama no arguing, the girl’s paid for whatever (I can’t remember) and leave. Then it’s myself and friend’s turn, we purchased our baguettes headed for the door taking us out into the Main Street, WHERE my friend turns to me and says,

“Where are those girls?…….. I changed my mind……I want to watch!”

Making us both smile as we walked back to work. (To be honest I think he felt a little embarrassed at causing a minor scene back there.) BUT in his defence the girls had p*ssed him off, made him feel very uncomfortable.

As for me, well I’ll have to be honest and say I didn’t mind watching a lesbian show of affection 😀

I could have added for literary effect, the girls were within earshot, an argument ensued, but no the two lovers had disappeared perhaps off to bed? (Hmm there’s a thought 😉 ) And we two reverted back to topical male only conversations, lesbians kissing is a little filthy and quite amusing BUT there’s a time and a place! I never did ask him why he became so angry.

However speaking for myself, if two guys had been kissing and petting in that same Deli, making out directly in front of me in the queue, I’m here to tell you lol I’d become increasingly annoyed to point where I’d no longer be able to hold my tongue, and I’m positive I would politely say,

“Do you mind that’s disgusting!”

Now remember I’m not homophobic but I’ll be honest and say watching two men kissing makes me feel slightly uncomfortable, perhaps male on male intimacy is something I should be more accepting of? What do you think? Being serious for a second, perhaps we’re just biologically programmed to feel uncomfortable watching our identified gender being over intimate with, err a person of the same sex, men or women? Hmm questions for anthropologists to answer.

Does anyone care? No 😀 I say live and let live!

Feel free to share your thoughts in comments below…………. make them harsh lol.

(One final thought before I go, I’d still love a threesome with two naked lesbians, a male erotic fantasy if ever there was one!)

Registered car guards, I’m rather taken aback!

Below are photos of my Grandfather’s delivery vans, he owned his own Bakery! I’ll leave you to guess if I’m a Weale’ or a ‘Bateman’ or ‘another’ Lol.

Weale and Bateman1942

1929 Cinderford
My Grandfather, he’s been dead many years but I still think about him everyday of my life! I miss him terribly!

I Follow a lady blogger who writes all the way from deepest darkest Africa, and don’t you think it amazing that you can open your tablet Reader and then be whisked away into the thoughts of bloggers from around the world.

Well paraphrasing a little, this lady pointed out something that I’d never come across before, registered car guards! I guess this service is a sign of modern times, having said that when I daily listen to Jeremy Vine on BBC’s Radio 2 or read when I pickup my daily copy of the Metro free newspaper, I’ll be reminded of the previous days crime stories. AND without coming across as seeming rather smug at her shocking insights, I sometimes wonder if Britain is heading on a similar path?

:/ Time will tell I guess.

Did you know London has a bigger murder rate bigger than in New York USA!! The choice of weapon isn’t guns in our case, it’s knives and I’m not underplaying the fact when I say knife crime in the UK is now out of control since the policy of stop and search was abandoned!

And ‘shock of shocks’, you’ll sense a touch of sarcasm here, now that our Police cannot stop and search young men if they suspect them of carrying a knife, young men now carry knives with them!!! Jeeze I saw this coming (with age comes wisdom) and wouldn’t you know it, the public are now demanding the Police have the power to stop and search people who in their professional opinion could be carrying a knife?

Unbelievable you couldn’t make this shit up and in the meantime innocent law abiding citizens have been knifed to death, it’s so tragic.

Well returning to my African blogger’s post and I’ll quote an extract, ‘they have an abundance of registered car-guards who do an excellent job of protecting our cars from being stolen while we shop and go about our business errands.’ Well I learnt something new today and yes quite shocking BUT how long before we in the UK go into Town to shop visit the Post Office or whatever and pay to have someone watch their car so as it’s not broken into?

Without sounding flippant I guess hers is a service that’s creating employment opportunities, having your car watched does seem a great idea for peace of mind, and it won’t be long until big British cities follow suit. Anyways, then I got to remembering an anecdote my Grandfather would often tell me when I was a child, a true tale from the days of owning vans used in his Bakery business. Grandpa ‘Bob’ would proudly tell me back that when living back in the 1940’s, he’d purchased a new van and it would be delivered with the absence of car door locks!

Yes I know unbelievable incredible isn’t it, and I guess all these years since he last told me this anecdote, the vision of him driving into Town, leaving his delivery van unlocked whilst he delivered bread, is well inconceivable in present day crime ridden England.

So sad!

Dolly and Kitchener
My Great Aunt Alice and her brother ‘Kitch’ delivering eggs to London, back then could you leave a horse and cart unattended safe in the fact ‘it’ wouldn’t get stolen?

Erotica – bucket lists

PLEASE don’t ever take this post tooo seriously, strictly just for fun.

My WordPress has been rather tooo sensible up to now, and I’ve drunk tooo much coffee tonight, jeeze I’m wired and jumpy as hell, so time me thinks for a candid honest and light hearted sx filled post.

4fdfa67426cc217e75b2b74ddcf83688I’m not a guy who’s turned on by pornography, in truth it bores me rigid, but yes I’m the first to admit Lust is my deadliest sin, I’m not a perv mind. it’s only I do enjoy observing the fair sx note age18+.

Every workday morning I arrive at the bus stop invariably to the rear of a certain young lady (at a safe distance note, age19) gorgeous she is, and a-typical bookworm in the purest sense of the word…… read on!

I’m a people watcher in the nicest sense of the word, aren’t we all?

From the second I first see this bus stop girl to the second she disappears out of view, with head held high, the graceful stride of a female gazelle, she gazes into an open book held but 10 inches from her face. The young lady never stops reading books, an unusual vision to behold, incredible in all my years I’ve never witnessed the like of her before. Jeeze just think of all those wonderful tales and storylines her mind has gorged on, hmm are they romance and sx? If passion and intimacy is her favoured genre then she must be the horniest of ladies, hmm she looks a horny filthy lady, anyways I’m getting off the point.

Is there a point?

More often than I end up behind the young lady, and unless you travel by bus you’ll not understand that where people position themselves around a bus stop is a science, there’s a lot of social etiquette here. It’s a painfully tedious picture to paint so I won’t!

And yes we do pass the time of day, pleasantries have you will, the weather and other such niceties and all those stories you’ve heard that Brits love talking about the weather, lol absolutely true!

However.

I can’t help feeling in situations like these, if say an older guy tries to be tooo friendly with a slip of a lady how does he come across, over friendly? Trying to pull? Pervy? If he does then that’s all a little sad then again perhaps that’s why I’m single, you have to chat to these unfathomable creatures that confuse me so.

However yuck she does smoke roll your ciggy’s though, a disgusting habit, and apologies if I’ve mentioned this beauty once before but I write as I think with no idea where a post will take me! (Remember all trace of my previous blog got deleted, lol don’t care if you don’t believe me anyway 😛 )

This lady with the blackest of jet black shoulder length hair is not stunningly beautiful to look at then again I’m no frigging oil painting myself, but what she lacks in beauty she makes up for in sweetness and her slender size 8 figure, a definite size 8 body going by our size obsessed media. Absolutely stunning she is, slim, perfectly proportioned and joy of joys she wears tight body hugging leggings, black and stretchy they are revealing EVERY trim contour, and this slip of a goddess has the most perfect leg line you could EVER wish to see, all leading to a pert bottom with plump ass cheeks that resemble an ‘err’ a peach! That most sweet and succulent of soft fruits.

Yes I’ll stand behind her and gaze down at her peachy ass, no doubt to a casual bystander I’ve the look of wonderment written across my face, I’m not odd but the jury’s out, I just adore femininity whatever age or size as long as they’re age appropriate of course. The only trouble is by the time I’m seated (I sit upstairs so I can look down ladies blouses as the get aboard, she sits on the lower deck) and as my ass hits the seat my dick is bucking and twitching inside my boxer shorts.

(Btw if a guy has the opportunity he will ALWAYS take a sideways glance down an unbuttoned blouse or plunging neckline………… we won’t admit but we all do!

And better still she wears a complete absence of visible panty lines, so as I gaze transfixed at her ass crack I cannot help wondering if she wears a thong or no knickers, do good girls ever go commando? Either way such a sensually erotic young lady 😛

I should point out at this conjuncture, with #MeToo firmly in mind I realise yes I’m objectifying the female form here, though I’m of the opinion a guy can observe (and write nonsense such as this) however he must never put his hand inside the sweetie jar.

Look but never ever touch!

Later come summertime when temperatures rise, she’ll be returning to her closet draw for those tight white tee shirts once again, (I’ll chat about her boobs another day lol), then by the time I reach my seat I’ll either pass out or c’max in my boxers! Holy ##ck, gorgeous fit women are getting tooo much for my broken heart, I fear the local News will run a story one morning, where a middle age man was found dead on the bus!

(Btw I’ve a serious far from flippant post themed #MeToo following sooon, it’s in my drafts. Does anyone read my WordPress or is this a platform, a tool to link prose to Twitter and Facebook? Hmm interesting.)

Nesting! The Manor House dovecote

Photographs taken by myself April 2018. 🙂

I’m a happy Englishman, 3 weeks ago snow covered my home Town and surrounding countryside, the temperature plunged to -6 degrees, but joy of joys a warm British Spring has finally arrived, I do so hate the cold.

I carry a camera with me everywhere I go, well last Saturday as I approached ‘our Town’s Common’ walking alongside the outer wall of a 16th Century Manor House, part of which is a dovecote.

TV’s Downton Abbey’ is filmed here, you may have heard of it?

I’d noticed earlier a small group of people standing gazing up at the outer wall, so ‘as you do’ I stopped to see what an earth they were looking at and photographing on their mobile phone cameras? And there sat a female white dove on her nest of twigs. (Below)

Dove 001

A very impressive nest of twigs don’t you think, and better still she’s another sign Spring has finally arrived, yay! Incidentally she’s not in the slightest bit phased by the shoppers walking past, I guess our Doves get used to gawping tourists!

Btw if you’ve ever heard the phrase ‘Cotswold Stone’, Century’s ago Churches also village Cottages were constructed using locally mined Cotswold Stone, which begins life a clean sandy yellow but over time many strains of living lichen attach themselves and along with the effects of wind and rain the Stone turns a mixture of greys and honey coloured hews. Tourists (especially the Japanese) travel from right across the Globe specifically to visit Cotswold Stone Villages!

I’ve a soft spot for weathered Cotswold Stone, but then I would say that, home is where the heart is. 🙂

The scenic photograph below was taken at the height of summer of 2017 and shows a picturesque Manor House now from the rear, which err means said Dovecote is unseen because it’s ‘on tuther side!’

Body image, reflections in a mirror

Photos of myself A. Shepherdson.

‘Looking at yourself sitting naked in front of a mirror’ – (My response)

Sharing these three photos is the closest you’ll get to seeing me fully naked on the internet, promise 🙂 , btw they have genuine relevance to this post……… honest!

We all take time out of the day to look at our body naked in a mirror, don’t we? And before you say “A. Shepherdson you’re weird” let me say “I don’t!” Ask someone this question and they’ll reply “you have to be kidding me?” Inquire a third time and the honest answer will be “well only after stepping out the shower, until I see my ass in the reflection!”

I wonder does anyone enjoy staring at their naked body and are you weird to admit doing so?

How best to begin this evening’s post. Well this is a response of sorts to a lady blogger I follow, a reaction to her recent post themed ‘getting back sexual confidence’. Bare in mind sex with me is more casual relationships but I want to talk about body image more generally, so I’ll just write and see where this takes me.

I’ll not name this blogger, not my place to, just be aware she suggests readers sit and look at themselves unclothed in a mirror, get used to appreciating their body positives, accept their imperfections and learn to love themselves for who they truly are.

Appreciate the real you, treasure and admire the person a sexual partner stares at, or the body friends and strangers stare at throughout a day…………although wearing more clothes!………..As an aside I’ll appreciate both busts and cleavage of women I work with ALL day long and btw ladies guys love women’s boobs whatever shape and size.

Where was I, ahh yes a female blogger and body image.

I’ll quote a paragraph from her post themed ‘getting back your sexual confidence.’

‘Looking at yourself in the mirror for 10 minutes: I know this sounds cheesy, but I promise you it does help. In a book that my therapist gave me, it suggested that you look in the mirror naked for 10 minutes. I thought this was absurd, but I reluctantly tried it anyways. I hate looking at my body and, when I do, I constantly point out my flaws. However, in about 5 minutes of staring and feeling ridiculous, my mind set began to change. I realized that I wasn’t focusing so much on the negative as I was on the positive. The 10 minutes went by rather quickly after that point and I had truly begun to enjoy myself and appreciate me. My confidence was rejuvenated.’

Well I reflected on this blog post after reading, definitely one of those pieces of writing that captures the imagination. Later that same day I found myself a mirror, stripped off naked, sat on my bed (after closing the bedroom curtains and I don’t want Helen over the road seeing me nude, then again I WISH!) Then sitting crossed legged nude (photos) I gazed at my naked reflection for yes 10 whole minutes!

Seconds into my challenge, two personality disorders came to mind, narcissism and vanity lol, however the minutes ticked past and yes the experience was interesting and a positive one.

Hold that thought and I’ll it revisit later, but first…………

We should be taught ‘how to’ and reasons ‘why to’ appreciate our bodies at school, why an earth not? Both girls and boys blossom into adulthood not liking themselves their bodies, bulimia anorexia anxiety depression often start because we hate our flaws and don’t appreciate the image others like about us school. No perhaps about it, lessons themed body image should be taught!

Do they?

Then again perhaps educational Nazis might say this leads to vanity narcissism and self love.

The only self love you should worry yourself with, whatever age, is don’t feel guilty about masturbating, enjoy the pleasures your body will give, the warmth and ‘tingles’ noting playing with your bits is good for ones mental health.

I read that last bit on the internet so it must be true? Either way playing is a great way of appreciating how you can enjoy your body.

Enough talk of masturbation!

I’m a guy who’s the opinion there’s NEVER a substitute for education! So why not teach body image lessons? No seriously I’m not joking, how many times do you pick up a women’s magazine and read stories of women hating their curves? How many times in the media have you heard stories of bulimia and anorexia where both boys and girls think themselves so overweight that they starve themselves until near death?

This very moment ask yourself ‘do I like looking at my naked body?’ Keep this in mind whilst reading on.

Speaking for myself, I have parts I don’t like, I’d love to have grown up taller, I’ll not use the word ‘wish I was taller’ because my Grandmother used to say we should be careful what we wish for! Yes taller and handsome and then perhaps I wouldn’t be single living on my own and feeling rather lonely, well at least I’m honest! Lovemaking, affection and closeness are essential to human life, we need and crave intimacy to keep us mentally healthy and happy, so experts say!

The phrase ‘we all need to love and be loved’ is at the very heart of what makes us human.

A question for you!

Can you recall a throwaway remark someone’s once said to you, a remark they assumed inconsequential devoid of weight thought or meaning, YET that remark had a profound negative effect and has remained with you till this day? The aforementioned person probably didn’t mean anything by it, perhaps they were feeling harassed, having their period, it was a soon to be forgotten observation, yet their comment had such a damaging negative effect that it will probably remain with you till the day you die?

Of course you can! I know a woman who overheard a teacher name her a ‘slut’, it left her devastated and she’s never forgotten.

A personal anecdote for you. Many years ago whilst sat in a hospital consulting room, don’t ask me why because I have no idea why I was in hospital, why is missing the point. The phrase a stranger called me is the point and has remained with me to this day…….. probably for the rest of my life?

I can clearly remember being sat on a bed age possibly 18 and listening to a conversation by two young nurses chatting in a room next door, and yes I’m pretty sure I was stripped to the waist at the time! They were attractive girls and as a teen I wanted to girls to find me attractive, we all want to be perceived attractive, jeeze the hang ups us humans have all because of sex is frigging scary.

Don’t ask me what else they talked about? I can’t remember apart from two words! One nurse said to her colleague with a patronising condescending tone of voice,

“I better attend to that little man next door”, describing me in such a dismissive negative way, the affect was like thrusting a knife into my stomach. I remember being clearly devastated, it would have been SO nice to hear her whisper “he’s nice” or whatever! But little man? A compliment would have made my day, my week! Gladdened the heart, made me smile but no lol……….. she chose a withering “little man!” She didn’t like my body. 123 Ahh!

Mortified I was and a lesson in why we should compliment each other, genuinely say nice things because they matter. A relative of mine is often heard praising her young sons…… we remember praise, praise shows love builds self esteem praise matters.

I know for absolute fact Primary School teachers are taught to praise children when they do well, they’re taught to encourage the other children to applaud excellence, it helps you learn to empathise with others.

🙂 I know a Primary School teacher.

Btw that’s the last I can recall of my day in hospital and the off handish nurse! Cow lol! Yes an inconsequential throwaway line, but for a young man lacking self confidence, a debilitating shyness around women, this pretty sexual nurse hurt me to the core, she thought me ugly and learning and hearing the lesson was awful.

So earlier when I say I’d love to be taller, lol perhaps now you appreciate why! Similarly,  I’d guess if a girl overheard someone labelling her a “plain Jayne” OR “her boobs are small!”, she’d be mortified and the affect on her self esteem would be similar?

So returning to my lady blogger also her therapist’s suggestion that you should sit and look at your naked reflection in the mirror……………….. for 10 minutes!

Staring back at my body was interesting and yes a positive experience, I don’t meditate or ever have done but I’d liken gazing at myself naked as meditative having zero option but to stare at my body! To begin with it felt alien and amusing but after a while I relaxed and viewed myself in ways I hadn’t done for a long while.

Quiet contemplation and no I didn’t!!!

I’ve always appreciated the beauty in my genitals, I mean I’m not someone who wishes different! No I’ve always treasured ‘my bits’ and like all guys impressed with their manhood when aroused, but without going into personal detail there are other things about my body I both liked and disliked and you HAVE to appreciate and accept don’t you, learn to love what a sexual partner is attracted to. Physicality’s aside I found my 10 minutes morphed into silent contemplation, a looking deep into my face, gazing deep into my eyes was a reflective experience.

By that I mean all day I will chat with friends and strangers, read their facial expressions conceptualise what I like about them, or more worryingly what they don’t like about my body? And I realised I only really look at ‘me’ whilst shaving in the morning, perhaps thinking how I can engineer bumping into perfect boobed Helen (age 50) over the road.

The only other time I look at ‘me’ is catching a reflective glimpse in a shop window, appreciating accepting the image that forms in other people’s minds.

You may be thinking ‘I’d rather have a tooth pulled’ than look at myself for 10 minutes BUT I’d reply, “we have to don’t we?”

I stared at ‘me’ looking back at me and I reflected on life’s problems, thought about my family, occupation, where I hope to be in years to come, what changes I want or should make in my life, I lived 10 minutes outside ‘the bubble that is A. Shepherdson’s life.’

Summing up.

Staring at my naked body, was a worthwhile positive experience and I heartedly suggest you give it a try. Or perhaps you do, I’ve stumbled across a blogger and her therapist who do.

Go on lol do it! If little else time spent in thoughtful contemplation isn’t time wasted, and appreciating your body, genitals, and sexuality is again time well spent. Vanity? No of course not.

(Jeeze 1874 words! :/ It’s tooo many isn’t it.)

A. Shepherdson.

The Beast From The East (March 2018)

Photos © A. Shepherdson.

Perhaps if you reside in a Country outside the United Kingdom you may not have come across the phrase ‘The Beast From The East’. Don’t worry it’s not a name attributed to the evil Russian who’s been leaving deadly nerve agent inside restaurants and smeared on park benches around Salisbury, no the ‘Beast…..‘ is a phrase attributed to a very British weather system, or more specifically a sudden blanket of snow falling across parts of the UK.

Weathermen do like to conjure up imaginative descriptions, Great Britain finds itself at the heart of five different weathers systems the worst being a cold front which blows down from Siberia, possibly catching a little Arctic blast on the way! Well temperatures plummet, snow falls and my Townscape resembles photos which wouldn’t look out of place on as next years Christmas card………. all good fun unless you use public transport to get to work.

Bah Humbug! (I must be getting old)

We’ve experienced three overnight ‘snow bombs’ this winter and were due to have a fourth this Easter, however the short boring story is the wind changed direction, a warmer front blew in from France bringing four days of persistent rain.

All of these photos below were taken by myself one Sunday morning in early March, follow the journey from my little house, all the distance across Town to my Mother’s for a Sunday roast beef dinner…………. I guess you could call the occasion a little treat in return for doing a few jobs around the house.

Follow the journey and bare in mind the house above may or may not be mine.

Below right is the side wall of an old Manor House and Farm used as a set and backdrop in the period TV Drama Downton Abbey… you may have heard of it!

I won’t say where abouts the 12th Century Norman Church below is located, just be aware we’re talking rural South East England.

Perhaps I’m becoming a little weary and jaded and yes I’ll admit to being rather cynical as the years roll by (I’ll have to keep an eye on this), I didn’t really mind this winter’s snow, in fact it’s quite astonishing how overnight the Town you wake up to is totally transformed and looks nothing like the evening before.

We do care

Isn’t the disaster photo below quite beautiful, I borrowed the image from the internet many months ago, and yes rather grainy but I’d guess it was ‘snapped’ on the spur of the moment by a fellow firefighter.

BBqrfrP

An Australian firefighter giving drinking water to a Koala bear, the humanity of this photograph shines through and will warm the coldest of hearts. I firmly believe we do love our fellow creatures and deep down do care what happens to them, it’s just our busy lives, caught in the bubble, mindlessly rushing round chasing our tails mean we become ever less connected to the natural world. Such a shame.
